Xiangjiao Appointed as Special Wine for Public Sacrifice to Emperor Shun

On September 28, the grand ceremony of Hunan Public Sacrifice to Emperor Shun was held in Jiuyi Mountain in Ningyuan County, and Xiangjiao was appointed as the special wine for the ceremony.
This ceremony was the third large-scale public sacrifice to Emperor Shun after its holding in 2005 and 2009 by Hunan Provincial Government. And the theme was carrying forward the spirit of Emperor Shun and promoting the work of enriching people and invigorating the province. Over 30,000 persons including representatives of clan relatives of Shun’s descendants from home and abroad joined in the Public Sacrifice. In the ceremony, Xu Shousheng officiating the rites offered and burned incense, sprinkled good wine of Xiangjiao and read the Elegiac Address to Emperor Shun.
Emperor Shun, Youyu Shi is the leader of tribe union in late father sib four thousand years ago, and he is the founder of Chinese traditional moral civilization. The mausoleum of Emperor Shun has also been the holy place for Chinese descendants to worship and commemorate Shun, Chinese for father for thousands of years.
