The first "Dayuanshuai" Cup Chess Competition was held at the Old City Memorial Plaza in Zunyi city from November 6 to 7. The competition was co-organized by Guizhou Treasure Liquor Co., Ltd. and Zunyi Sports Bureau, and it was a chess competition with "the largest scale, most participants and the highest level" so far in Zunyi. It attracted over 300 good chess players from 13 counties and districts in Zunyi.

During the course of the competition, the related leaders of Zunyi Sports Bureau, Honghuagang District Party Committee and Government as well as Guizhou Treasure Liquor Co., Ltd. also came to the spot of the competition to pay a visit, and they hoped to strengthen the exchange between chess lovers and spread Chinese traditional culture through the competition.

The "Dayuanshuai" liquor exhibition area beside the competition terrain was also one of the most important parts of the site, and citizens gathered here by twos and threes to taste "Dayuanshuai" liquor.
