On October 15, Jindong Investment Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Jindong Group”) entered an investment agreement with Renhuai Municipal Government in Guizhou Province. According to the agreement, Jindong Group will invest more than RMB 20 billion to build a quality Maotai-flavour liquor production base with an annual capacity of 30,000 tons and an industrial tourism project in the core producing area beside Chishui River in Maotai Town (adjacent to the Maotai Distillery), which is the No.1 producing area of Maotai-flavour liquor. The base will include brewing, starter making and storage workshops, a Maotai-flavour liquor museum, an exhibition hall, a reception center and a liquor tasting center. Huang Xingwen, member of the Standing Committee of Zunyi Municipal Party Committee and secretary of Renhuai Municipal Party Committee, Wang Nengke, deputy secretary of Renhuai Municipal Party Committee and mayor of Renhuai Municipal People’s Government, and Wu Xiangdong, chairman of Jindong Group, attended the signing ceremony.

Chairman Wu Xiangdong said that the best Maotai-flavour liquor in China is produced in Guizhou and the best Maotai-flavour liquor in Guizhou is produced in Renhuai. Renhuai is the very core and best producing area of Maotai-flavour liquor, and it is also a viable destination for investment and a land of wealth. After field research and scientific demonstration, Jindong Group finally decided to settle its Maotai-flavour liquor base and brand demonstration project in Renhuai. Jindong Group appreciated Renhuai Municipal Party Committee and Municipal People’s Government for their care and support. It will do its utmost and go all out to live up to the expectations of the people, and work together with Renhuai Municipal Party Committee and Municipal People’s Government to make positive contributions to the liquor industry in Renhuai.

Wang Nengke said that the signing of this framework agreement marked a phased achievement in the preliminary work of both parties done to mainly promote the construction of the project. The settlement of the project was the product of shared consensus and mutual expectations between the two parties. He urged all departments concerned to extend cooperation without reservation,to connect with and serve each other, to actively coordinate the work for the masses, land use and infrastructure, and to facilitate the completion of the project in Renhuai.

The project, upon completion, will provide a solid guarantee for the production capacity and quality upgrade of Maotai-flavour liquor made by Jindong Groupand provide consumers with an all-round experience in the Maotai-flavour liquor culture. With the completion of this project, a new force will join the “Maotai-flavour liquor corps” in Guizhou and add vitality to the revitalization of ten 100-billion industries in the province and the construction of Renhuai as a  world famous producing area of spirits.
