News  By February 19, all of the 73 quarantined guests had been evacuated safely and orderly from Turandot Hotel in Liling, and none of them showed abnormal physical condition. Dong Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Liling Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Liling City, presented a plague that read “Special Contribution Unit in Prevention and Control of Novel Coronavirus Affected Pneumonia in Liling City” to the person in charge of Turandot Hotel on behalf of the Municipal Party Committee, the Municipal Government, and the Command of Prevention and Control of Novel Coronavirus Affected Pneumonia in Liling City. He fully recognized the hotel’s fulfillment of responsibility and contribution in the fight against the epidemic.

Turandot  Hotel was designated by the Liling Municipal Government as a key site for targeted people under quarantine to stay during the epidemic outbreak from January 29. By February 10, it had received 73 travels and guests who were quarantined for being in close contact with confirmed patients in Hubei. On February 19, all of the 73 quarantined guests were evacuated from Turandot Hotel safely and orderly, and several of them were transferred to the Municipal Party School of Liling, where they would continue to be segregated because they had not been quarantined for 14 days. The rest were released home for observation. During this period, staff of Turandot Hotel overcame their fear and provided thoughtful and warm services for the quarantined guests while protecting themselves from potential infection.

Guided by the Leading Group for Prevention and Control of Novel Coronavirus Affected Pneumonia in Liling City, Turandot Hotel founded its leading group which is headed by Sun Jianxin, the first person in charge of China Ceramic Valley, and Xing Changhai, general manager of Turandot Hotel, is the deputy group leader. The leading group is founded to cooperate with relevant government departments in the epidemic prevention and control and quarantine at the hotel. The main leaders of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government of Liling visited the hotel many times, directing and dispatching epidemic prevention and control tasks. They recognized the efforts made by Turandot Hotel and appreciated its support and cooperation on behalf of the Municipal Government of Liling.
