On April 20, the Group donated RMB1 Million to quake-hit areas of Ya’an in Sichuan province through Jinliufu 99 Kind Fund of China Charity Federation to support the relief work of the disaster areas.

At 8:00 a.m. on April 20, a magnitude-7.0 earthquake hit Lushan County of Ya’an City in Sichuan Province, leading to heavy losses of life and property of local people. All staffs of the Group were concerned about disaster areas. On that day, the Group donated RMB1 million to quake-hit areas through Jinliufu 99 Kind Fund of China Charity Federation, offering support with practical actions to help people in disaster areas pull through.

Wu Xiangdong, a NPC representative and the President of the Group said, “as corporate citizens, we should shoulder social responsibilities and develop everlasting public welfare heart. In the face of such big disasters as earthquake, it is our bounden duty to shoulder social responsibilities, offering practical help to people in disaster areas, and advocating and spreading more love for the society.”

As a world-famous liquor enterprise, the Group has always been committed to social welfare undertakings. In 2007, it donated RMB5 million to the government of Shaoyang in Hunan Province, setting up the “Award Fund for Righteous Behavior”. In early 2008, Hunan suffered from the rare freezing disaster, so it donated RMB10 million for reconstruction of disaster areas. In May 2008, it donated RMB1 million to quake-hit areas in Wenchuan. In early 2013, it donated RMB2 million to launch the study assistance project of “Students of Xiangjiao- Forging Ahead with Hope”. So far, the donation made by the Group has totaled over RMB30 million.
