On October 30, 2010 Shanghai World Expo Hunan Pavilion Total Assets Auction was held in Shanghai International Commodity Auction Hall, Shanghai World Expo Hunan Pavilion was bought by Xiangjiao Distillery at a price of 30.4 million Yuan.

At two o'clock in the afternoon, the auction began on time. As No.1 underlying, the starting price of World Expo Hunan Pavilion Total Assets is 7.6 million Yuan. The whole auction was held by means of "bid by silence" and "raise by speaking". When the auction just started, the bidding price of Hunan Pavilion Total Assets exceeded 10 million Yuan and the price increase rose to 200 thousand Yuan. After a period of "soul-stirring" competition, Xiangjiao Distillery holding No.99 Bidder Tag finally won the auction and purchased it for 30.4 million Yuan.

Meanwhile, on the site of the auction, Xiangjiao Distillery also won the bid and purchased the "Harmonious Flourishing Age Globular Shape Vase" and "Ten Thousand Liang Anhua Black Tea Brick" with strong Hunan local color and collection value respectively for 2.28 million Yuan and 2.78 million Yuan.

"Hunan people are courageous and upright, they are decisive and bold in action, and Hunan entrepreneurs love their hometown". Li Pei, Curator of Shanghai World Expo Hunan Pavilion and President of Hunan Trade Promotion Council had kept encouraging Hunan enterprises and institutions to take part in the auction and try best to make Hunan Pavilion settle down at home in Hunan. The success of Xiangjiao Distillery in the auction made him feel gratified, "The wish of numerous Hunan people to make Hunan Pavilion ''go home' has been realized at last!"

After knowing about the success of the auction for World Expo Hunan Pavilion, Lu Xiaobo, Creative Director of World Expo Hunan Pavilion, Deputy Dean of Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts and Ph. D. Supervisor, congratulated Xiangjiao Distillery, saying, "The value of Hunan Pavilion will not be less than 100 million Yuan".

After the success of the auction, Group Deputy President Li Jianchu required to make efforts to move World Expo Hunan Pavilion entirely to Hunan Xiangjiao Distillery Ecological Brewage Industrial Park Base which is located in Shaoyang in May of next year. This park is a 4A-level industrial tourist spot, and the enterprise culture connotation that it displays is in line with the circulating, green and open appearance of World Expo Hunan Pavilion as well as the theme of "natural , harmonious, mutualism and limitless" contained in the "Xanadu". "This base covers an area of 1500 mu, and we will make it open for free to the public periodically after World Expo Hunan Pavilion moves into the park". President Li also said that the capital invested in the later stage in the reconstruction may be higher than the hammer price of 30.4 million Yuan. After it is transported to Hunan, Xiangjiao plans to dig the ground 2 meters deep to draw water into the pavilion and add some projection equipment so as to create a dreamlike effect. Next year, when people walk into World Expo Hunan Pavilion again, maybe they will be able to enjoy the real and fantasy audiovisual feast of "people dancing together with flying birds in woods and playing with swimming fish while walking to waterside".
