On the morning of November 12, Hunan Participating 2010 Shanghai World Expo Organizing Committee, Shaoyang Municipal People's Government and Xiangjiao Distillery held "World Expo Hunan Pavilion ‘Xanadu’ Going Home and Permanently Settling in Xiangjiao Ecological Liquor City Welcome Ceremony" in Shaoyang Xiangjiao Ecological Liquor City, bearing the honor of World Expo and the expectation of 69 million Hunan people, World Expo Hunan Pavilion "Xanadu" was wholly carried back to Hunan and permanently settled in Shaoyang Xiangjiao Ecological Liquor City, which marked the official start of entire restoration and reconstruction of World Expo Hunan Pavilion. Hunan Provincial Government Deputy Secretary-General Wang Guangming, Hunan Trade Promotion Council President and Hunan Pavilion Curator Li Pei as well as Shaoyang Party and government leaders and the Group President Yan Tao took part in the activity.

Open to the Public on May 1 Next Year

On October 30, Xiangjiao Distillery won the auction and bought the total assets of World Expo Hunan Pavilion at a price of 30.4 million Yuan as well as the Harmonious Flourishing Age Globular Shape Vase and Ten Thousand Liang Anhua Black Tea Brick respectively for 2.28 million Yuan and 2.78 million Yuan.

For World Expo Hunan Pavilion "going home" and settling in Shaoyang Xiangyao Distillery, the leaders of Hunan at all levels care much about and are very supportive of it, and Hunan people are also expecting eagerly. Group Deputy President Li Jianchu said that Hunan Pavilion is the most splendid provincial pavilion in China Pavilion and it is also a typical representative of the combination of Hunan cultural essence and high-technology. After settling in Xiangjiao, Hunan pavilion will be restored and appear with the original appearance, and efforts will be made to have it open to the public on May 1 next year. Restricted by the site of Expo Park, World Expo Hunan Pavilion has not completely displayed Hunan spirit and many originalities, but the area of Hunan Pavilion will be expanded after it settled in Xiangjiao Ecological Liquor City so as to change more originalities into reality; besides, there will be some slight changes and artistic innovation in the architectural style to make visitors fully enjoy the real and fantasy audiovisual feast of "people dancing together with flying birds in woods and playing with swimming fish while walking to waterside".　

To Become a Human Landmark of Hunan

Recently, Xiangjiao Distillery is communicating with Professor Lu Xiaobo, General Designer of Hunan Pavilion and related engineering design organization, and the overall restoration and reconstruction program of World Expo Hunan Pavilion "Xanadu" will be published to the public through media at the end of this month so as to widely listen to good advice.　　

Li Jianchu said that harmonious and natural participation idea of World Expo Hunan Pavilion shows the innovative originality and wisdom of Hunan people, and it is their precious World Expo wealth.  Restoring and reproducing World Expo Hunan Pavilion "Xanadu" is the a public benefit activity carried out by VATS GROUP and Xiangjiao Distillery in order to repay the fellow countrymen of Hunan. "With the fusion of World Expo Hunan Pavilion into Xiangjiao Distillery, the original industrial tourism resource of Xiangjiao Distillery has been endowed with more attributes of humanity and its spiritual connotation is more abundant". Li Jianchu said that Hunan Pavilion would be placed into Xiangjiao Ecological Liquor City Phase II Project invested over one billion Yuan by Xiangjiao Distillery, and this park will be a 4A-level industrial tourist attraction.

The settling of Hunan Pavilion in Xiangjiao Distillery will greatly promote the formation of the golden tourist route of 4A-level industrial tourist attraction, World Natural Heritage Langshan, Alpine Pasture Chengbu Nanshan and one of the New Xiaoxiang Eight Sights - Huayao Ancient Town. If people go to Shaoyang, they can go to Xiangjiao Ecological Liquor City to visit Hunan Pavilion and also visit many national key scenic spots such as World Natural Heritage Langshan, Chengbu Nanshan Pasture and Tiger-Shape Mountain--Huayao.
