On December 26, 2011, the Solid Wine Brewing Workshop for the second phase project of the Xiangjiao Wine Park was formally put into production. The ceremony was attended by more than 200 people, including Tong Mingqian, Secretary of Shaoyang Municipal Party Committee, Liu Xinmin, Director of Shaoyang Municipal People’s Congress, Yang Shengxun, Chairman of Shaoyang of CPPCC, responsible people of various functional department of Shaoyang Municipal People’s Government, Li Jianchu, Vice President of VATS Group, General Manager of Xiangjiao Liquor Industry, and other representatives from all circles in society.

The ceremony was moderated by Chen Huiqing, Vice Mayor of Shaoyang Municipal People’s Government and addressed by Li Jianchu, Wang Xiaoyu, etc. After that, all guests at the ceremony tasted the first barrel of wine in high spirits.

To implement the old wine strategy and the product differentiation strategy, Xiangjiao Liquor Industry launched the second phase project construction in November of 2009. The project covered an area of 920 mu and involved an investment of RMB1.97 billion, with a designed annual brewing capacity of 50,000 tons and an annual packing ability of 100,000 tons. The solid wine brewing workshop that is put into production this time serves a part of the second phase project, which is able to produce 10,000 tons of quality wine with 672 wine cellars.
