On February 29, Chairman Wu Xiangdong and President Yan Tao of the Group met Mayor Li Zhigang on visit of Guilin in Beijing. The two parties discussed about issues of common concern as strengthening the development of Xiangshan Distillery and so on. 

In June 2008, the Group purchased Quanzhou Xiangshan Distillery and established Guilin Xiangshan Distillery Co., Ltd. In 2010, the Company carried out the Overall Relocation and Renovation Project with the planned investment totaling RMB 510 million, and currently, nearly RMB 300 million has been invested, and Phase-ⅠProject was successfully completed in 2011 and put into production, and Phase-II Project is now in intense preparation and expected to be finished next year.

Li Zhigang extended his congratulations to the accomplishments made by VATS Group in recent years. He said that four years had been passed since VATS’ successful merger of Xiangshan Distillery, and “Xiangshan Liquor”, typical rice aromatic Chinese spirit as well as the leading product of Xiangshan Distillery had always maintained its title of vintage wine of Guangxi. Li Zhigang hoped that VATS could tightly grasp advantageous opportunities of the 12th five-year period, and keep on promoting the investment to Guilin Xiangshan Distillery as well as accelerate the construction of Phase-Ⅱ Project, thus to realize sustainable development of the enterprise and seek for cooperation in broader areas at the same time. 

Wu Xiangdong expressed his gratitude to the vigorous supports given by Guilin Municipal Party Committee and municipal government to Xiangshan Distillery. He said that through four years’ development, Guilin Xiangshan Distillert Co., Ltd. was now glowing with new vitality and was to obtain more notable growth. He also indicated that the Group would keep on promoting financial and technological investment to Xiangshan Distillery, while expanding the output and promote sales with quality guaranteed at the same time; in addition, grounded on the original traditional technique, the Group should continue to make innovations. Moreover, the Group had the confidence and determination to make Guilin Xiangshan Distillery more prosperous and strong, and develop it to be the representative liquor enterprise of Guangxi, thus to make greater contributions to local and economic development of Guilin.

Huang Tao, Deputy Major of Guilin and member of the Standing Committee of Guilin Municipal Party Committee and Secretary-general Zhao Zhonghua of the municipal government as well as relevant princiles of the Municipal Committee of Industry and Information Technology as well as Quanzhou County Government also participated in the meeting.
