On August 24, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce released the list of Top 500 Private Enterprises in 2017. Jindong Group (formerly VATS Group) was ranked 298th with its revenue of RMB 19.2 billion.

 

Analysis report shows that the threshold of the list continues to increase, up to RMB 12.052 billion, doubling when compared with what it was five years ago. Six toppers, including Huawei, Suning, and Weiqiao, all reported annual operating income of RMB 300 billion in 2016.

 

There were four liquor-related enterprises listed: Daohuaxiang Group, VV Group, VATS Group and Hubei Zhijiang Liquor Group. Jindong Group has been very active in the liquor sector over the past year. Chairman Wu Xiangdong strongly promoted the product “Yitanhaojiu” (“A Jar of Good Liquor”) and the liquor enterprises under its umbrella gained momentum in their respective regional market. With efficient operation in the investment field, Jindong Group showed remarkable overall operational strength.
