On June 1, Anhui Linshui Liquor Co., Ltd. and China Charity Federation jointly launched the public welfare project “Happy Home for Children”. This was a special gift for the children in Yu’an District, Lu’an City, for the Children’s Day.
The launching ceremony was held at the Central Primary School of Chengnan Town, Yu’an District, Lu’an City. Li Qiao, president of Lu’an Charity Association, announced that the first pilot school of the project was Chennan Primary School in Lu’an City. Cai Xianwen, secretary general of Anhui Charity Association, introduced the project, which was based in the two “Happy Homes for Children” built by Anhui Linshui Liquor Co., Ltd. in Yu’an District and Huoqiu County in Lu’an City. The project builds school buildings and teacher resources and provides books, entertainment facilities and multimedia equipment for left-behind children to expand their knowledge through guided and companion reading and enrich their extracurricular life. The children will maintain contact with their parents through online videos, audios and telephone, and students of West Anhui University will act as volunteers and psychological counselors to interact with the left-behind children occasionally and help them grow up healthily.
Zhang Yongzhong, general manager of Anhui Linshui Brewing Company, said that the growth of left-behind children is a matter of concern and a hot issue in the community. As a local business in Lu’an, Linshui Liquor grows with generations of the people here and has the responsibility to make a modest contribution to its hometown. It will continue to pay attention to the progress of this project and will be more involved in the cause of children care in the future to guard the growth of children with caring people in the community.
