On April 29, “Liquor Alliance” initiated by Wu Xiangdong, Chairman of VATS Group and founder of Jindong Capital, came to Nanjing, the capital of six ancient dynasties, and attracted nearly 520 dealers to attend “Internet of Chinese Liquor Alliance + Seminar”. Of them, 471, or 90.5%, chose to sign in. So far, seven events of “Chinese Liquor Alliance” have been held successfully in the country and attracted 2,573 allies in total.

Wu Xiangdong said founding “Liquor Alliance” and building the “first ecosystem in the liquor industry” was just a beginning. Details about community management and collaboration will be gradually improved and implemented and this process needs to involve all the allies for negotiation. “Liquor Alliance” will open the door to dealers and adopt the model of “B2B platform + O2O platform + procurement and supply chain platform + capital platform + community sharing platform”. It will deeply integrate the traditional liquor industry, open up the supply chain for the purpose of online integration and finally develop into “Chinese Liquor Alliance” consisting of 5,000 industry tycoons whose business scales are over RMB 10 million.

Tycoons in the liquor industry expressed their opinions about the “Chinese Liquor Alliance” after hearing the speech of Wu Xiangdong. Mr. Chen, a dealer from Nantong, said, although he did not know Wu Xiangdong, he highly agreed with his interpretation of the “No.1 ecosystem in the liquor industry” and the current industry environment. He added that he was also attracted by several priorities of “Liquor Alliance”, including the crowd-funding business and future investment planning. He was interested in them and held expectations. Besides, he agreed with the principle of “Liquor Alliance” to ally with both the upstream and downstream and maintain the price system of famous liquor brands, without confronting with upstream businesses. He thought that broader survival space would be created without confronting with upstream companies.
