On November 28, the “No. 1 Student Fund” sponsored by Yushuqian was held in Yushuqian Liquor Manor. At the ceremony, Chairman Chen Wei announced that: Yushuqian Liquor Co., Ltd. will contribute at least RMB 2 million to sponsor 80 to 100 poor students every year from 2016 to 2020 and each of the beneficiaries will receive RMB 5,000 as scholarship. Ten high school students excellent in character and learning will be the first beneficiaries of this fund.

At the launch ceremony, Yushuqian Liquor Co., Ltd. contributed one bottle of jar sealed liquor stored from 1946 and the other from 1972 for charitable auction. The guests were active in the bid and all the resulting money was donated to the poor students. Ten student representatives received the donation, creating the climax of this event.

Zhao Yu, Deputy Secretary of China National Association for Liquor and Spirits Circulation, said, “Charitable funds are more often sponsored by some large enterprises in the south, and this one from Yushuqian Liquor Co., Ltd., considering its scale and amount, is the first example in the liquor industry in the northeast and is so far the biggest student fund in Jilin Province.”
