NEWS On the Christmas Eve of 2014, Jinliufu created a “Chinese Christmas Tree” and showed it at Sanlitun Street of Beijing. Passers-by could interact by using the scanning feature of We-chat. The “Chinese Christmas Tree” added some native Chinese flavor to the traditional Western festival.
The “Chinese Christmas Tree” was originally called “Jinliufu Prayer Tree” and was 3 meters high, with the maximum diameter of 1.7 meters. It was made up of Jinliufu liquor bottles and 12 LED display screens. Different from traditional Christmas trees covered with balloons, lanterns and other decorations for static display, it was connected to the We-chat platform. When passers-by scanned the QR code to follow “Jinliufu - A Happy Community” and sent some best wishes, the LED display screens on the tree would be lit instantly to display colorful greetings as surprises to visitors.
Many people sent their family and friends blessings through this activity. A couple took the chance to propose; a family of three members prayed for happiness and good health; a graduating high school student left the wish “to be admitted to Peking University”.
This magic tree was designed by Jinliufu and Diao Yong, a young artist, for the purpose of communicating the happiness culture of Jinliufu through a new and interesting way and providing a chance for consumers to express their appeal for happiness. When the streets were filled with traditional Christmas trees, the prayer tree of Jinliufu showed up as a special surprise that brought blessings.
