Yuquan Liquor Celebrates Its 60th Anniversary

On September 22, the Celebration Ceremony for the 60th Anniversary of Heilongjiang Yuquan Liquor Co., Ltd. was held in Yuquan Distillery under the theme “History of 900 Years, Glory of 6 Decades”. More than 130 guests attended the celebration. In the meantime, Yuquan Liquor also held the 60th Anniversary Celebration and the 2nd Yuquan Development Summit Forum on Maotai-Luzhou-Flavor Liquor in China, the unveiling ceremony of the bronze statue of Gao Yueming, creator of the Maotai-Luzhou-flavor liquor, release of important new product “Yuquan Hongyin” priced over one thousand in RMB, the jar sealing ceremony of the first jar sealing cultural festival, and the donation ceremony for the youth poverty alleviation project in Heilongjiang Province.


Under the witness of the guests present, the celebration of the 60th anniversary of Yuquan Liquor was officially launched. Subsequently, officials and brewing masters who were present jointly signed their names on the sealed 500kg jar. As an important part of the ceremony, Yuquan Liquor released its new product “Hongyin”.


In this celebration, the unveiling ceremony of the bronze statue of Gao Yueming, creator of the Maotai-Luzhou-flavor liquor was a highlight. Gao Yueming, a deceased liquor master who created the Maotai-Luzhou-flavor liquor, made an outstanding contribution to the creation of this genre in Yuquan, in the northeast, and even in China by presiding over and participating in the construction of Yuquan Distillery and leading technicians across the country in the “Yuquan Pilot” that went through thousands of trials until the type test of Maotai-Luzhou-flavor liquor was completed.


To repay the kindness of the community, Yuquan Liquor donated RMB 1 million to the public welfare poverty alleviation project of the Communist Youth League of Heilongjiang Provincial Party Committee at the ceremony. The Communist Youth League awarded a plaque to recognize Yuquan as a philanthropic corporation.


In the mid-1950s, the Ministry of Commerce of the PRC decided to build a high-quality liquor distillery in Heilongjiang Province. In 1959, Yuquan Liquor Co., Ltd. built a factory in Yuquan Town, Acheng District, Harbin City, which was committed to brewing a Chinese-style Maotai-Luzhou-flavor liquor named Yuquan. Over the past 60 years, Yuquan Liquor has grown from a small company to abig one, and from a big company to a strong one. It has moved beyond Heilongjiang to the whole country as a benchmark in the liquor circle in the province. Yang Liyou, general manager of Yuquan Liquor, said in his speech that, as a time-honored brand in China,Yuquan Liquor would uphold the banner of Maotai-Luzhou-flavor liquor and create a commanding height of brand culture. According to Yang,Yuquan Liquor will be “based on Heilongjiang and seek strong presence in the markets inside the province” by making full use of the good grain, good water, good ecology, and good process to make good liquor and become a centennial company.


As a national liquor expert, Wang Guiyu witnessed the two victories of Yuquan liquor in the national excellent brand competition and affirmed the contribution of the company to the development of the liquor industry in the northeast. He mentioned that Yuquan Liquor, as the leader in the revitalization of liquor in the region, not only introduced pioneering Maotai-Luzhou-flavor liquor techniques and promoted the development of this genre, but also was enthusiastic about social welfare activities and fulfilled social responsibilities.


Yan Tao, president of Jindong Group, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. He said that Yuquan Liquor has accomplished good development achievements in both the inheritance and promotion ofMaotai-Luzhou-flavor liquor and its market expansion since it was incorporated into Jindong Group in 2008. In the future, Jindong Group will continue to strengthen its financial and marketing support for Yuquan Liquor and help it pursue better development.


The guests attending the ceremony also included government officials Wang Xianmin, a former member of the Standing Committee of the Heilongjiang Provincial Party Committee and former deputy governor of Heilongjiang Province; Liu Haisheng, the former deputy governor and former deputy director of the People’s Congress of Heilongjiang Province and now president of Heilongjiang Provincial Federation of Enterprises; Yuan Fangjiang, secretary of the Communist Youth League of Heilongjiang Provincial Party Committee; Li Chengzhi, head of the Acheng District of Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province; as well as famous liquor experts Li Yongqing and Wang Guiyu, and media and dealer representatives in the country. The guests all expressed warm congratulations and sincere wishes to Yuquan Liquor.
